On Tuesday April 3rd 2012 at 12:15pm, Instagram for Android was unleashed into the world. iOS fanboys got pissy talking about “Apple should have never let this happen!” Apple has no stock in Instagram. NONE. No control at all. So sharrup. That’s out of the way.
Instagram for Android has the same shitty ass cropping and boring filters that it’s iOS brother has. Luckily for my fellow Android folks, I’m going to tell you how to make folks jealous on the Inssuhgraymz. Not really jealous, but they gonna ask “how you did dat dere”
BONG BONG
The short of it is layer and mix your filters. Yes, it’s a lot more work but the end result can basically look like you ran your shots through a mini Photoshop or Lightroom. ?The process is simple enough. Take a pic with your camera, run it through one or more of the apps, save said pic after run through apps, use Instagram app to upload to interwebs. Time consuming? Yes. Fun and creative? HELL yes. See, simple as fuckington.
The Apps
?PicPlz.- It’s also an iOS app, so they can have their Apple ass fun too. Some pretty interesting filters and options to upload to different sharing sites (Flickr,Tumblr,Twitter, etc).
?Lightbox- Same sharing options as PicPlz. Almost the same filters but a couple extra ones.
Little Photo- This app doesn’t have any sharing options, it’s just filters and effects. I also bought the plug in which cost $4.00. The plug in adds more options such as rotate, crop, and some other options. It was worth it.
Pixlr-o-matic- Option to share to Facebook. Tons of effects and filters.
Go forth. Have fun. And if you have any questions, leave them in the comments.
